Great welcome drink and friendly staff! Walls were too thin though, very noisy.

Good location close to the BART station and Chinatown.
Someone was smoking on my "non-smoking" floor and the stench of cigarettes seeped into my room and was overwhelming when I opened the door.

Late-night check-in was confusing due to inadequate parking information. The room had some maintenance issues like a backed-up sink and a non-functioning hair dryer, impacting the stay. The friendly staff and comfortable bedding made it somewhat redeeming.

Exceptional experience, the hotel is ideal with decent location down the street from the Bart station. Well-appointed and new-fashioned rooms with fridge, the normal shower gel and laundry, wonderfully helpful staff.

For the expensive price we expected a lot more.
It was very hard to find the entrance to your hotel using Garmin. Your valet/perking is on 9th, Garmin mapping sent us to Broadway. Granted we arrived during rush hour, I spent 25 minutes navigating all the wrong one-way streets. That set me off in a bad mood. Then not to have a morning meal in the cost included. We spent a very pleasant previous night in Sonoma for half the cost, much more in the range acceptable to us with a fixed income. The view of apartments with clothes and laundry out on the balconies was fun.

When I checked in I turned the heat on and left.Came back later only to find out it wasn't working. Waited 30 mins and called the from desk after midnight and eventually was given another room.

The truth, what's good and what's not
The breakfast experience was good, with an really good team serving. Rooms were spacious. Friendly staff really stood out.
Parking was a hassle with high valet fees, and noise from the streets disturbed my sleep. Room features felt outdated, impacting the overall experience negatively.

location, staff and eventual comfort were excellent
this is our second visit in winter (one month apart)and the heaters were not functioning forcing us to relocate to another room on both visits...also during this visit the two rooms were noticeably dirty with large stains on both the furniture and rug

Staff was friendly and attentive. Gave me a nice quiet room away from elevators and ice machines at my request which was much appreciated. Room was nice and quiet. Location was perfect for easy access to convention center. Some good eating choices nearby. Nice work out facilities in the hotel.
$350 per night which does not include parking. Add another 30 a day for that. Toilet didn't flush well, no low flow toilet so wasting tremendous amounts of water. Desk chair was nice at some point years ago but it is now ripped and flaking black faux leather and would be more appropriately found at a roadside motel for under a hundred a night, not a $350 per night room. Oh, and the hotel food was awful with no room service and questionable just-add-water tasting egg-like substance. They should find a new restaurant contractor.

Great price, but needs a facelift
Staying here was a budget-friendly way to avoid SF. The subway is super close, so getting into the city was easy. But man, the rooms felt kinda old and the carpets could use some love. Plus, the valet beeping was a bit much when trying to relax. The bar area was nice for a quick drink though!
